Disneyland Day 2

Thursday 8th May 2014

Blog post written by Mr 11

Today we went back to Disney Land to redo the rides we liked and do ones we originally missed. When we arrived we headed straight over to Critter country for Splash Mountain fast passes. While we waited for our fast passes to start we went on the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square. After that we went on "The many adventures of Winnie the Pooh" then it was time to use our fast passes for Splash Mountain. Splash Mountain was really fun and the ride was really exciting with its massive dropdown into the Briar patch. Then we went to where Winnie the Pooh lives and got pictures with Winnie and Tigger.

After that we went to Mickey's Toon Town and had a picture with Mickey in Mickey's Movie Barn after taking a look around and going on Roger Rabbit's Cartoon spin which was really fun because you could drive your own Taxi through scenes from the movie. We even went to the Toon Town Dog Pound and posed for a picture in the Dog Pound with RJ after RJ was apprehended for drinking from Pluto's bowl at Mickey's House.

This is a picture of us posing with Mickey. Mickeys Movie Barn is really cool with awesome shelves covered in props from Mickey's movies. They even had a viewing room which showed old trailers for Mickey's previous more retro films such as Steamboat Willie and The Sorcerers Apprentice.

For lunch we caught the Disney Land Railroad to the New Orleans Station and had lunch at the Hungry Bear Restaurant in Critter Country. If you are going to the Hungry Bear restaurant I recommend getting a seat overlooking the Rivers of America because then you can see straight across to Pirate's Lair and you can watch the Mark Twain doing it's rounds. Next it was back to Fantasy land for more catch up rides. We went on Snow White's Scary Adventure and Pinocchio's Daring Journey as well as going on Star tours and Autopia at Tomorrow Land.

We went back to our hotel and had a swim but then we went back to Disney Land late at night because someone had told Dad that the Indiana Jones ride in Adventure Land  had reopened for a test run. Luckily we got back in time and managed to get on it. I thought the ride wasn't very scary, yes it was exciting but no, not scary for me. I'm still happy that we managed to catch it though.
